Faced with a highly fractured urban environment and encased within a multiplicity of multi-lane roads, our aim was to create an architectural landmark that will re-address the importance of this area within its urban context. The introduction of a bold contemporary building, would act as a generator to the entire area, stimulating development and the re-incorporation of this junction within the urban fiber of the city. Yet to be completed, the project has been adopted as an icon of the new Wroclaw, a symbol of the bold spirit that typifies this particular academic city. The project is a multi- faceted and incorporates a five star Hilton Hotel, serviced suites, a conference center, specialty restaurants, a jazz club, retail and multi media exhibition space. Due to the financial crisis, the construction was temporarily suspended but financing has recently been secured and the project is to recommence towards the summer of 2011.
